- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your name and email address via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In.
- Saved places: Names, addresses, coordinates, source URLs (e.g. TikTok, Instagram links), tags, and notes you add to your Places.
- Travel preferences: Your travel style, budget, pace, and interests collected during onboarding to personalise your experience.
- AI chat messages: Messages you send to the Itinera AI travel assistant.### Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous user ID: A unique identifier assigned to your session, including guest sessions.
- Usage data: Which features you use, how often you open the App, and interactions with travel deals.
- Device information: Device type and iOS version, used for App compatibility.### Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise real-time location unless you explicitly grant location permission to view your position on the map.
- We do not collect payment information. No financial data is processed or stored by Itinera.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, or any data outside the App.---## 2. How We Use Your InformationWe use the information we collect to:- Provide, operate, and maintain the App
- Personalise AI travel recommendations based on your preferences and saved places
- Display your saved places on the map
- Show relevant travel deals and partner offers in the Perks tab
- Track deal redemptions for affiliate commission purposes

- Comply with legal obligations---## 3. AI Chat and Third-Party AI ProcessingThe Itinera AI travel assistant is powered by Google Gemini. When you send a message in the Plan tab, your message and a summary of your saved places and travel preferences are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing.By using the AI chat feature, you agree that your chat messages may be processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.We do not use your chat messages to train AI models. Messages are not stored permanently — they exist only for the duration of your conversation session.---## 4. How We Share Your InformationWe do not sell your personal information. - Encrypted transmission via TLS for all data in transit
- Authentication tokens stored in iOS Keychain (SecureStore) — never in plain text
- API keys stored as server-side secrets — never exposed to the clientNo method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.---## 6. Guest AccountsYou may use Itinera as a guest without creating an account. Guest accounts are assigned an anonymous user ID stored locally on your device.Important: Guest account data is not backed up. If you delete the App or clear its data, all saved places and preferences associated with your guest account will be permanently lost. We strongly recommend creating an account to preserve your data.---## 7. Data RetentionWe retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through Profile → Delete Account in the App. Upon deletion:- Your account is permanently removed from our systems
- All saved places, preferences, and chat history are deleted

Acceptance of TermsBy downloading, installing, or using the Itinera app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, you have read and understood these Terms, and you agree to be bound by them.---## 2. Description of ServiceItinera is a travel planning application that allows users to:- Save places and travel inspiration from across the internet
- Visualise saved places on an interactive map
- Plan trips with AI-assisted recommendations
- Discover travel deals and experiences through our Perks marketplace---## 3. User Accounts### Guest Accounts
You may use the App without creating an account. Guest accounts are stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for any loss of data if you delete the App or clear its data while using a guest account.### Registered Accounts
When you create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it.You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account.---## 4. User Content### Your Content

- We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated content---## 6. Perks and Affiliate PartnersThe Perks tab displays travel deals from third-party affiliate partners. You acknowledge that:- Deals are provided by third-party partners and are subject to their own terms and conditions
- Prices, availability, and deal terms may change without notice
- We earn a commission when you click or redeem certain deals — this does not affect the price you pay
- We are not responsible for the products or services provided by affiliate partners
